Archive for March, 2010

March 17, 2010. It must be the beer god’s sense of humor but every year our anniversary of supplying craft beer to Aspen falls directly on St. Patty’s Day. Come celebrate a true drinking holiday down at the Aspen Brewery where we’ll have beer specials, local music, and our buddy Joe Flamer cooking up some traditional Irish favorites like corn beef & cabbage and stew. Slainte!

March 20, 2010. Please join the Aspen Brewery and KSPN along with a dozen or so microbreweries for the annual Blitzenbanger Beer Festival at Aspen Highlands. From 2-6PM in front of the Northwoods Lodge (think closing party) breweries will be pouring delicious craft suds to all festival goers. It only costs you $15 to participate in one of only two Aspen beer festivals throughout the year. KSPN will be giving away Aspen Brewery prizes throughout the event so come win some free merch or wear your Aspen brew gear if you already have it!

Barely two years after churning out its first pint, Aspen Brewing has made a mountain-sized mark on the town’s après ski scene, with brews like Palisade-hopped Independence Pass Ale IPA and well-balanced Ajax Pilsner, popular among both locals and tourists weary after a day of skiing.

N9NE Beer and Food Pairing Dinner 4/07

April 7, 2010. Please save the date as we are organizing our 3rd edition of “Beer is the New Wine”. Hosted by N9NE Steakhouse (414 E. Hyman Ave.),  5 delicious courses will be prepared by head chef Robbie Wilson, each accompanied by a different Aspen brew. The last two have been huge successes and we expect nothing less this go around. Below is the menu from our first dinner to give you an idea of what’s in store. Please call N9NE (970-920-1090) to make reservations as seating is limited to 50 guests.

We want to know what you, our loyal beer drinkers,  want as your next spring seasonal. Last year was our Blonde Ale which began as the ‘Spring Blonde’ then turned into ‘Summer Blonde’ and now is year round and referred to as ‘This Season’s Blonde’. Leave a comment below and we’ll take it into consideration (we won’t be adding fruit to any beer we make however. sorry).
