Aspen Brewing Company Bike Team Wins at 24 Hours of Moab!

Winning!

What an amazing weekend in Moab!  We left Aspen in the snow early Saturday morning to support our riders and friends at what might be the last 24 Hours of Moab mountain bike race.  Despite a cold and rainy start to the race, the weather cleared and conditions were perfect.  Our official team: Tiziano, Tom, Ian and Shawn dominated the Sport Division, winning by almost a full lap!  Our good friends John and Pete Gaston were racing on the Honey Stinger Bee Team, while representing Strafe Outerwear and Aspen Brewing Company in sweet skin suits.  I wish I had more photos of that!

Honey Stinger Bee Team won the Pro Division and first place Overall.  The Aspen Brewing Company team won first Place in the Sport Division and third place overall!  The Roaring Fork Valley was all over this race, and the Vail Valley simply could not keep up.  Nice work guys!

What an awesome weekend…24 Hours of Moab needs your help.  With a record low number of teams in all divisions this year, it might have been the last race.  Get a team together and enter now to ensure this amazing event continues!

These guys are our best buddies and can not only rock the tasting room, but jump behind the bar and operate the cash register. Good people to know.

24 Hours of Moab Bike Team

If you’re worried about the forecast in Aspen this weekend, or need a little time beyond the roundabout, head out to Moab, UT and come support Aspen Brewing Company’s bike team at 24 Hours of Moab!  Tiziano (of L’Hostaria) Ian, Tom and Sean (not pictured) are riding fast and hoping to climb their way to the podium this year!  Our friends John & Pete Gaston of Strafe Outerwear will be there throwing it down in the pro division as well!

Head 12 miles south of Moab on highway 191 to the Start/Finish and Camping area and look for the brewery tent…we’ll be there supporting our riders, with beers of course!  See you there.

Culinary Connectors Every Other Friday

Join Aspen Culinary Connectors every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month for Aspen Walking Tours: Savor the Flavors. Tours consist of a casual walking tour to four of Aspen’s restaurants and/or markets enjoying tastes and beverages at each stop and – always ending with happy hour at the Aspen Brewery. For more info, click HERE.

Join us for Lightning and Thunder (Jason and Gregger) every Sunday as they rock your ass with a djembe drum and guitar. Actually it’s quite relaxed with great covers and originals you can drink and sing along to. A great way to spend your Sunday afternoon/evening (depending on how much they drink before the show). To make a great day out of it, head up to the top of Ajax Mountain at noon with a picnic lunch, listen to free bluegrass on top of the mountain, then come by the brewery for cold beers and more live music. We love Summer up here!
