Oh yeah, we’re going extreme this weekend to celebrate the 2012 ESPN Winter X Games. FREE LIVE MUSIC Friday and Saturday Nights, $4 PINTS of Aspen’s favorite beer, and awesome GRUB from Aspen’s Over Easy Cafe. Every hour is happy hour…that means $4 Pints and $15 Pitchers of locally made craft beers, light to dark. We open every day at noon, and stay open until the party is over; that means late. Also, our hard Cider will be back on tap! Local Apple Cider fermented with wild & Champagne yeasts.
Raise your hand (or a pint) if you like to get EXTREME!
Cans of Independence Pass Ale and This Season’s Blonde are coming soon! We promise! Finally after months of delays with our equipment manufacturer, the Brewery at the Aspen Airport Business Center is up and running (tours coming soon!) We are making Aspen’s favorite brews as fast as we can. As of now, we have five of our six main beers available in our Tasting Room (304 East Hopkins) with Ajax Pilsner coming out in less than two weeks. Come and taste the new and improved batches of Independence Pass Ale IPA, This Season’s Blonde, Brown Bear Ale, Conundrum Red and Pyramid Peak Porter! Chase is killing it! In addition, our beer is flowing all over the Roaring Fork Valley at these fine establishments: Hotel Jerome’s J-Bar, Little Annies, 39° at Sky Hotel, Belly Up, Silver Queen, The Red Onion, Matsuhisa, The Wheeler Opera House, Out Of Bounds, Highlands Pizza Company, Big Hoss Grill, Mountain Chalet, Viceroy, Finbarr’s, PAC 3, Brick Pony, Carbondale Beer Works, Fine Line Bar & Grill, and Smoke. Let us know if your favorite watering hole is in need of some Aspen Brew…
As soon as we are able to build up an inventory of our beers, we will begin canning IPA and Blonde! Check back with us soon. In the meantime, keep drinking our beer all over town, and stop in for a growler to take home!
“Mortimer, we’re back in business!” It’s Gay Ski Week in Aspen, the 35th anniversary at that, and after a long and torturous move to our new brewery, we have the full line up of our beers back on tap. Come and taste the Aspen Brewing Company rainbow! This Season’s Blonde, Independence Pass Ale, Conundrum Red, Brown Bear Ale and Pyramid Peak Porter are all fresh off the new brew system and tasting better than ever!
Is Christmas really next weekend? We’re celebrating! Come by the brewery Thursday night with an ornament for our Christmas tree and get a $2 pint…Banjeaux Bob is behind the bar. Friday night Lightning and Thunder take the stage to show off their forever expanding repertoire of classics, new and old. What’s better than their version of psycho-killer, really? Saturday is business as usual at the tap room…Food is now available through Aspen’s Over Easy Cafe; open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a great and affordable menu. Menus and service are available in our tasting room, sorry we’re not serving breakfast beers just yet. I’m calling for the Patriots to take the Bronco’s down to Chinatown on Sunday, sorry J.C. aka Tebow. Come by for football Sunday and try Over Easy’s basket of wings, Burgers, Smoked Rib-eye Sandwich (our favorite) and much more!
Saturday afternoon we will do our first tour of the new brewery at the ABC! Come by 404 AABC from 4-7PM to check it out! The building is in the back of the ABC by Louis Swiss Pastry, Cracks & Racks and King Yoga. Post a comment or “like” to let us know you’re coming! (please take the bus, carpool, or ride your bike if you can, parking is limited)
Town is starting to fill up with funny looking tourists, we finally have some snow to be grateful for (even though it’s going to be -14 degrees tonight), and the Sheen’s have successfully put Aspen on the holiday celebrity map….again. For these things we are grateful and what better way to give Aspen an excuse to celebrate this week! Join us Thursday, December 8th to adorn our Aspen Brewing Co Christmas tree with your very own ornaments. Bring any and all ornaments you’d like us to hang on our tree and we’ll give you your first beer for $2. It will be our rendition of the Sardy House tree lighting, only nothing like it. Then on Friday, December 9th, to get you in the Christmas caroling mood, come listen to live local musicians Mark Nussmeier (Hurricane Carter) and the Gregger as they lay down multiple guitar loops, drum beats, and vocals to a packed house. Anytime these guys have played at the brewery we get tons of requests to get them back so here’s your chance to see them again. Set #1 will start right around 8PM so get here a little early if you want a seat. Finally, back by popular demand, will be our 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl on Saturday, December 10th! What better way to welcome in the opening day of Aspen Highlands than a tribute to your ugliest disgrace of a sweater (AKA amazing!). Make those poor sheep proud to have given you the tool to craft your Cosby masterpiece and parade it around Aspen all night. While the fur coats and cowboy hats come out of their off season hibernation, we’ll terrorize downtown at Aspen Brew-friendly establishments like Little Annie’s, Silver Queen, Sky Bar, and Red Onion. Meet us at the tasting room at 9PM to down a cold one before the onslaught begins. If you’re a bartender in Aspen receiving this, consider yourself warned!
Finally, after months of delays with our equipment, the new brewery at the Aspen Airport Business Center is complete. We are anxiously awaiting our final inspections and our first brew day-hopefully this week! To celebrate, we have 20% off our merchandise online if you “like” our store, and bigger discounts on select merchandise in the Tasting Room on Hopkins ave. Sales will go through the weekend after Thanksgiving. Come by and celebrate with us…the Tasting Room is always open (noon-late every day).
Our beer will resurface in Bars and Restaurants throughout Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Snowmass as well as the Roaring Fork Valley soon. Request it at your favorite valley bar! Check our website for an up to date list of establishments serving Aspen’s finest brew.
Well, it’s obvious we have a lot to celebrate here in Aspen. First, a special thanks to all of the men and women who have served in our armed forces. We raise a cold pint to honor you. Next, we’ll be skiing in Aspen/Snowmass in a week! And finally, Thanksgiving marks our one-year anniversary in the Tasting Room on Hopkins Ave.
So…we’re celebrating with LIVE MUSIC FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT – Lightning and Thunder with special guest Rain will be rocking the house from 8PM ’til Close Firday. Bar Band is playing Saturday Night 9PM ’til Close.
Also, our cold-weather MERCHANDISE is ON SALE…Thermal Long-sleeve’s are $25, Grey Hoodies $30, Sweatpants $20, Long-sleeve T’s $22 and Orange Hunting Hats $15. Come and get your ABC gear now or buy online from our website before it’s too late.
**Name the trail this photo was taken on and Win a brewery hat! (post answers as a response or on our facebook page)
It’s a school-night, we know…but that doesn’t mean you need to be home by 8PM only to stare at your great costume thinking…I should have gone out, at least for a little while. Or you are going big because Halloween is your favorite holiday. Either way, swing by the Brewery tonight, in costume of course, and you could win some brewery gear! Be there!
What an amazing weekend in Moab! We left Aspen in the snow early Saturday morning to support our riders and friends at what might be the last 24 Hours of Moab mountain bike race. Despite a cold and rainy start to the race, the weather cleared and conditions were perfect. Our official team: Tiziano, Tom, Ian and Shawn dominated the Sport Division, winning by almost a full lap! Our good friends John and Pete Gaston were racing on the Honey Stinger Bee Team, while representing Strafe Outerwear and Aspen Brewing Company in sweet skin suits. I wish I had more photos of that!
Honey Stinger Bee Team won the Pro Division and first place Overall. The Aspen Brewing Company team won first Place in the Sport Division and third place overall! The Roaring Fork Valley was all over this race, and the Vail Valley simply could not keep up. Nice work guys!
What an awesome weekend…24 Hours of Moab needs your help. With a record low number of teams in all divisions this year, it might have been the last race. Get a team together and enter now to ensure this amazing event continues!
If you’re worried about the forecast in Aspen this weekend, or need a little time beyond the roundabout, head out to Moab, UT and come support Aspen Brewing Company’s bike team at 24 Hours of Moab! Tiziano (of L’Hostaria) Ian, Tom and Sean (not pictured) are riding fast and hoping to climb their way to the podium this year! Our friends John & Pete Gaston of Strafe Outerwear will be there throwing it down in the pro division as well!
Head 12 miles south of Moab on highway 191 to the Start/Finish and Camping area and look for the brewery tent…we’ll be there supporting our riders, with beers of course! See you there.
