Tappin Tuesday – Single Hop Series IPA with Simcoe Hops

The second installment of our Single Hop Series, Simcoe IPA! We took the wort (term for un-fermented beer) before hops were added in our standard IPA recipe, and added Simcoe hops exclusively for the bittering, flavor and aroma hop additions. Yes, this beer was triple hops brewed too! Come by for a pint and expand your pallet and understanding of what makes Independence Pass Ale.

Our Single Hops Series is like no other beer series on the planet, at least as far as we know. We have begun to feature one hop variety in different beers to specifically showcase what each hop variety contributes to the end product. It gives all of us a chance to see what the bittering, flavor and aroma characteristics specifically are.
